LIMA — The trial in Allen County of a Dayton man charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor more than seven years ago has been moved to February.
Joseph Archie Jr., 48, was set to have a trial-to-the-court beginning Monday in the Allen County courtroom of Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Reed on the third-degree felony charge. Archie’s attorney requested a delay pending a judicial review of some documents from the Allen County Children Services agency and the determination of whether the defense is entitled to review those documents prior to trial.
Archie was indicted in January of this year for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a person he knew to be between the ages of 13 and 16. The alleged act took place on or about June 13, 2012, according to the indictment.
