A 19-year-old woman who is suspected of stabbing her boyfriend to death appeared in court Wednesday, for her preliminary hearing.
Autumn Spears is being charged with one count of murder after first responders found 27-year-old Stephan Kimble-Childress of Toledo with stab wounds to the chest and hands. Lima Detective Steve Stechschulte says the couple got into a fight that turned violent and Spears used a kitchen knife to stab Kimble-Childress, who later died from those wounds. The Allen County prosecutor also noted that Spears was involved in a previous stabbing investigation, but no charges were filed against her. Spears' case will be bound over to the Allen County Common Pleas Court.
She is in the Allen County Jail and her bond remains at a half million dollars.
